ÆKEIR Brewing
Ækeir is the culmination of years of homebrewing, three commercial breweries built and sold and a strong desire to brew beer in the Belgian tradition.
Sour and wild beers have invaded my brain and become something of an obsession.
Kettle sours, Lambics, Gueze and barrel aged, fruited, unfruited, funky or acidic, it makes no difference now. I love them all. They all have their place in the great pantheon of beer.
Ækeir produces artfully crafted ales, lagers, sours, spontaneous (lamb-ish) and any other variety or style of fermented grain. Spices, fruits and herbs are also not off the table.
Stick with us for awhile, you’ll probably find something you like!

Our process
We source malt and hops form local Maine maltsters and farmers whenever possible. All of the beer that leaves Ækeir is of the highest quality possible.
